BMGN - Low Countries Historical Review

BMGN - Low Countries Historical Review was founded in 1877 and is the leading academic journal for the history of the Netherlands, Belgium and their global presence. The journal accommodates all historical subdisciplines and covers every period of history since the Middle Ages. It accepts contributions in Dutch and English. BMGN - Low Countries Historical Review is published by the Royal Netherlands Historical Society / Koninklijk Nederlands Historisch Genootschap (KNHG) as an Open Access journal in cooperation with Utrecht University Library (Igitur publishing).

On 30 March 2012 BMGN - Low Countries Historical Review's first Open Access issue was published with a festive launch during the KNHG conference 'De klas, de wetenschap en de wereld'.
